There’s strength in numbers – spiritual strength. But, that’s not the only reason why the men at Milford Christian Center meet each month for dinner at a local restaurant.
Getting away for a “men’s only” night out is an opportunity to relax, have fun and be ourselves. While we unwind, we also:
- Form friendships
- Learn from each other as we support one another
- Make the Bible practical for everyday living
We also bridge the “generation gap”:
- Teen enthusiasm enriches older members
- “Elders” help mentor younger members
And as we grow individually, gaining spiritual confidence and strength, we make a stronger contribution:
- At home
- At work
- In our community
But don’t take our word for it. Take God’s Word – the Bible – the foundation for everything we do at Milford Christian Church:
Romans 12:45 says: “The body [church] is a unit, though it is made up of many parts, and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” 1Corinthains 12:27 reminds us that: “Now, you are the body of Christ and each one of you is a part of it.” And Romans 12:10 calls us to: “Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another.”
So, join us this month for dinner and a fun night out.
